The Vault
Privacy

Your network stays yours

The Vault holds personal, sometimes sensitive information about the people in your life. Here is exactly how that is handled, including by the AI assistant.

Your data is scoped to your account

Every request is checked against your account before anything is read or written. Your contacts, notes, and reminders are never visible to another account.

Connecting Google or Apple is optional, and encrypted

Google Contacts/Calendar access and your Apple app-specific password are only ever requested if you choose to connect them, and the credentials are encrypted at rest, the same standard applied to any other sensitive access token. Disconnecting revokes access immediately.

Ask Vault only sees what you can see

The assistant reads and writes through the same per-account access rules as the rest of the app. It cannot reference or imply access to anyone else's data.

Nothing is saved without your confirmation

When Ask Vault proposes a change, such as a new reminder or a logged interaction, it shows you exactly what it plans to save first. Nothing is written until you approve it.

Ask Vault is powered by Anthropic

When you use Ask Vault, the relevant contact details for your request (names, notes, dates, and similar) are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the response, governed by Anthropic's own data-handling terms. Nothing is sent unless you actively use the assistant.

The Vault is built so every account's data stays walled off from every other one - what you store here never crosses into someone else's, and never will. If you have a specific question before signing up, you are welcome to reach out. For the full legal detail, see the Privacy Policy.
